The EM860 is the most advanced analyser of its kind for performing measurements and ensuring compliance with approved radiation standards.
An EMF application uses different types of measurements. These include broadband measurements performed with the spectrum analyser frequency selective, where the total field strength is measured over the frequency band of interest. More importantly, however, are code selective measurements for 5G, TDD-LTE, FDD-LTE and UMTS signals. The advantage of demodulated measurements is that the measurements can be extrapolated to assume a fully utilized channel.
A modern 5G EMF analyser must also be able to measure the traffic channel and requires resolution filter bandwidths of up to 100 MHz. This is e.g. a requirement for measuring the power lock function in 5G antennas. The EM860 is equipped with the necessary hardware and is therefore ready for further applications that require e.g. real time analysis.
