The new 24/7 Sensor Node Evaluation board is based upon AEM10300 Energy harvesting Battery charger. It is featuring a unique ‘ambient energy aware’ approach, combining a smart boost sequence and an adaptive sensing phase. A key feature of AEM10300 is a null quiescent current when the energy source is not providing energy. The Sensor node is a complete system embedding the OPV source from Dracula Technology, a Small storage element from Nichicon as well as onsemi RSL10 BLE front-end. Sensors capability include Temperature, Atmospheric pressure, and 3 axis accelerometer.
This EVK can stay broadcasting sensor data for several months in complete darkness. Developers will find all necessary resources to customize storage element and PV size selection. BLE advertising can be displayed with e-peas AEM10300 iOS mobile application or on any android BLE scanner.
