Product Highlight: GW Instek GDM-9061 Digital Multimeter
The digital multimeter (DMM) has properly become an essential of any level measuring equipment set. Thanks to its versatility and ease of use, it is capable of successfully solving many measurement tasks.
Modern DMMs are not only capable of making accurate measurements, but also of performing other functions, which recently were the prerogative of more highly specialized devices.
Now I would like to show you some of the features of the new GoodWill Instek desktop GDM-9061 DMM, which I really liked.
First of all there is a duplication of measurement inputs on the front and back side of the instrument. This allows the GDM-9061 to be used as a stand-alone instrument as well as a laboratory element in a rack cabinet. Standard communication interfaces make it easy to integrate this DMM into any set of instruments.
On the 4.3" TFT display you can see two measured parameters. This is very convenient and eliminates the need to have a second DMM. Also the measured values are much more comfortable to read from a single display than from several displays.
Another very useful function looks like it is borrowed from a higher-level instrument, a digital storage oscilloscope. It allows you to see on the display the shape of the measured signal, to set the measurement window, and to see statistical data about the signal over time.
These are just a few of the many features present in the GDM-9061, each of which is not unique, but GoodWill Instek has successfully integrated them all into one instrument, creating a very convenient, accurate and easy-to-use measuring device that should be in every modern measurement laboratory.
