TP4100 Base Unit with Rubidium

There are compelling reasons to use a Rubidium oscillator instead of an OCXO, but not all Rubidium oscillators are equal. Our miniature Rubidium clocks are available in a unique physics package based on the Coherent Population Trapping (CPT) atomic clock. These devices consume less power, operate over a wide range of temperature operations and have longer life cycles than legacy lamp-based Rubidium oscillators used in other products. Rubidium oscillators have much better power-on stabilization times than OCXOs: 24 hours after power-up versus 2 to 5 weeks. This differentiation alone is a significant reason for using Rubidium-based units over OCXO-based units.
